Youth History Camp

The Youth History Camps are for 1st through 6th graders.  Camp meets on the second Saturday of each month at the Historical Society of Decatur County Museum 9 -11 am.  Space is limited to 10 participants per camp. If we have more people interested we will add a second session for the same topic. Registration is required, cost is $5 per child. September 14, 2024 - "The History of Table Etiquette" How and why did some of the dining rules we have today start? We will look at the history of table etiquette, from some of the different table settings to the manners we are expected to follow.

October 12, 2024 - "Unique Places in Indiana" We will look as some of the more unusual sites in Indiana. Garfield Trail, the World's Largest Ball of Paint and more. How many have you already seen?

November 9, 2024 - "Did you know they were born in Indiana?" A look at some celebrities who were born in Indiana. Some may surprise you.

December 14, 2024 - We will not have History Camp in December. Join us for our annual Christmas Open House December 14.
